BALI National Landscape Awards Winner 2023
We are proud to announce that in conjunction with The Garden Builders, Maïtanne Hunt Garden & Landscapes were a principal award winner in the “Accredited Contractor & Accredited Designer Joint Submission” category at this year’s BALI National Landscape Awards 2023. The joint submission was for our work transforming a Kensington Roof Terrace into a colourful year-round space.
The BALI judges commented: “The designer has delivered a strong, simple design that works extremely well in its location. The build, however, was complex with a number of major challenges along the way. Working together as a team, designer and contractor overcame those challenges, finding solutions whilst maintaining their joint sustainability ethos.”
The judges also said “A delightful, elegant scheme which was fraught with issues and complications, not to mention the access problems throughout the build and the requirement to re waterproof the roof structure. An extremely comprehensive submission pack told the story well with plenty of information to assess the design elements as well as an indication of the build – would have been useful to have had the contractor on site but Maitanne covered this well. Overall, a logistically complicated build, well delivered to the satisfaction of all concerned. Congratulations to all involved.”
