From a car park to a quirky mock Tudor and colourful gravel garden.
By clearing the massively overgrown Leylandii hedges of this L-shaped garden, we gained a welcome new discreet parking space with its own separate entrance.
This allowed us to focus on creating a garden which looks beautiful on arrival, optimizes the South-facing aspect and offers uninterrupted views to the fields beyond.
The mock Tudor garden, with topiarized Taxus baccata and a selected palette of silver-leafed cottage plants, is a nod to the mock Tudor style of the house.
The rich diverse planting scheme of the informal gravel garden provides food for insects and various waves of colour throughout the year.
Carefully placed crab-apple trees offer privacy from the street and a weeping pear turns into a shady retreat for dining.
